Overview

Currahee Club is a 1,100-acre, private gated golf community on the shores of the largest lake in the Southeastern United States -Georgia's 56,000-acre Lake Hartwell in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Featuring a championship golf course designed by Jim Fazio and named by Golfweek magazine as one of the top 50 new courses in America, the community will offer a list of proposed amenities that will be the envy of other gated communities in Georgia. In addition to the Community Grill, which is currently open, construction has begun on the 48,000 square foot golf clubhouse, the community general store and the Tennis Club. Other proposed amenities are a marina, hiking trails, fitness/swim center, children's playground, fishing pond and a children's camping area.

Restaurants/Food Service Dining will be available in the Clubhouse and is currently available in a 2,000 square foot community grill featuring indoor dining as well as al fresco service on both a side deck with outdoor fireplace as well as a front patio featuring dramatic views of Lake Hartwell and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Outdoor Activities Spend the day hiking, mountain biking, fly-fishing, swimming, water skiing, boating or sightseeing.

Golf Spectacular 18-hole, 7,513-yard golf course designed by Jim Fazio, was declared one of the 50 best new courses in the nation as well as the best in new course Georgia by Golfweek magazine. Practice facility includes chipping and putting greens, Titleist range balls, and a driving range with multiple targets.

Water/ Marina/ Boating Proposed community marina offering wet slips, dry storage, dining facilities and a ship store.

Gated Entry 24-Hour manned gatehouse with roving patrols.

Lots Homesites are priced from the mid-$100,000's for golf view to more than $800,000 for lakefront. All lakefront homesites include a custom built, covered two-slip dock with sundeck.

Other Other proposed amenities include a Community General Store with an antique pharmacy interior, children's playgrounds, fishing pond, walking/hiking trails and a par 3 nine-hole golf course.

Clubhouse 48,000 square foot clubhouse featuring vaulted beamed great room with two massive stone fireplaces, 3,000 square foot covered deck, fitness facilities, 120 seat dining room with panoramic views of #1 and Lake Hartwell, two private dining areas, intimate cocktail lounge, billiards room, ladies locker room with private bar, mens' locker room with century old bar from an Irish pub and a well-stocked golf shop.
