Firefighters from Gem County Fire Dist. 1 responded to a chimney fire at 8401 W. Idaho Blvd. in Letha last month. When firefighters arrived, fire could be seen billowing from the top of the chimney.

 

End of a 'Short' era

Monday will mark the end of an era in Gem County law enforcement. After 12 years, Sheriff Clint Short will hand over the reins to incoming Sheriff Chuck Rolland.
